I believe that connection is the core of the healing process. Regardless of why someone is seeking therapy, or what interventions and therapeutic techniques are used, I believe it is when we connect to each other as human beings that we lay the foundation to grow and heal. Because of this, forming that connection and building a trusting relationship is always my first priority when working together. It is my responsibility to be a safe person and provide a safe space for you to be your most authentic self. I will hold space for you while you process through all the emotions, struggles, and triumphs that accompany your individual experience. I learn and grow, not just as a therapist, but as a person, with each new client I meet. We are all humans having a human experience, and together we will navigate this journey of growth, healing, and transformation towards you living your most fulfilled life.
In my personal life, I am a wife and mother to three. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, vacations and camping, crafts, reading, and always have a good podcast recommendation. I believe in being just as vulnerable and honest with you as you are with me. I'm passionate about the things I enjoy, and bring that same passion into session with me.
I graduated from Michigan State University with my Bachelor of Psychology in 2017 and my Master of Clinical Social Work in 2019. I have four years of clinical experience doing individual, outpatient therapy with adults and group therapy. Prior to this, I have experience working inpatient psychiatric care with adults, children, and adolescents.
My goal is to help people process their experiences, learn how to connect with, understand, and regulate their emotions, develop new skills, and provide you with a sense of empowerment so that you may thrive in life. You are worthy of love, respect, acceptance, and healing.
