Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing practice that utilizes universal energy to support your body's natural ability to heal. It works by channeling this energy through the hands and into the body, either through light touch or hovering above the body. The word comes from the Japanese word rei which means "universal" or "higher power" and ki meaning "life force energy."

Reiki supports bringing balance between your physical, emotional, and energetic health.
Some benefits of Reiki are:
Reiki goes where it needs to go, so results may vary person to person. It is not a replacement for medical and mental health care. However, it has no adverse side effects, and can be an excellent complementary practice to your already established treatment plan with your medical or mental health providers.
During your healing session, you are provided several options for your comfort. Reiki can be done in person or at a distance. You have the option to receive Reiki either lying down or sitting. Reiki can be administered hands on, hands off, or at a distance. During a session, you will be provided these options, identify your intention for the session, and be given an option to provide feedback on your experience following the session.
Absolutely not! Reiki can be added to your therapy treatment if it feels like the right choice for you. It is also an additional service that can be provided, without ever needing to be active in therapy with me.
